Description Job Title/Department: Beyond Camp Counselor: Location: Julie Billiart Schools, Akron Campus Employee Classification: Non-Exempt, Seasonal: Employee Reports To: Director of Beyond Camp Dates of Assignment: 7/8/2024 – 8/2/2024 Job Purpose: Julie Billiart Schools is a network of schools serving children in grades K-8 with special learning challenges. Currently there are campuses in Akron, Brecksville, Lyndhurst, Westlake that offer unique learning environments for students with autism, ADD/ADHD, dyslexia and social learning challenges. We are Catholic, non-public schools that respect diverse faith traditions. This position is responsible for organizing and leading a variety of small group activities each week. Activities may include crafts, nature, songs, games, swimming, archery, zip lining, trampoline park, etc. Camp counselors are also expected to implement social, behavioral and academic interventions to a group of up to approximately 9 students under the supervision of a Beyond Camp Teacher.
