Transportation Technician - Central Nursing Resources - ( 260000OY ) Description Perform specific activities related to the transportation of patients, equipment and materials throughout the hospital, i.e., nursing units, outpatient clinics. Respond to special requests to transport neonatal patients from the parking level to the nursing unit. The Transport Technician will collect and deliver specimens, materials, and other designated items to and from nursing units, outpatient clinics, the main laboratory and other areas of the hospital. Qualifications Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required) Minimum Work Experience: 1 year Related experience in the healthcare environment (Required) Required Skills/Knowledge: Lifting approximately 50 lbs. Able to bend/kneel and climb ladders/stairs. Able to coordinate eyes and hands quickly and accurately and clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Ability to move quickly to respond to specified emergency situations in other areas of the Hospital when needed. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
