The focus is on providing the best customer service to Arizona Residents and Mine Enterprises. ABANDONED MINES SPECIALIST *Available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangement)* Job Location: 1700 West Washington Street Phoenix, Arizona 85007: Posting Details: Annual Salary: $60,000 Grade: 01: This position will be posted until Thursday May 14, 2026 Job Summary: Works with minimal supervision. The Abandoned Mines Specialist position will be responsible for directing the search and cataloguing of abandoned/inactive mines in the state. Locating and inventorying abandoned mines is vital since it may pose significant physical safety hazards to the public, and may impact water resources, and wildlife. The Abandoned Mines Specialist primary concern will be to locate, survey, evaluate and determine the method of closure for the abandoned/inactive mines.
