Job Summary: The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for assisting in identifying learning and development needs for clinical staff. Assesses competencies, need for additional training and education, and develops and delivers educational programs to address issues. Essential Functions: - Assists in identifying learning and development needs of staff using various data collection methods: questionnaires, chart review, focus groups. Based on findings, recommends education programs. - Provides orientation to clinical staff and monitors effectiveness through competency tasks. - Assists clinical staff with transition from new hire to job assignment using problem resolution and guided learning. - Provides feedback to Clinical Leadership on new hire clinical staff based on evaluation of documentation and management of current caseload. - Evaluates clinical staff performance in the field using field visit tool. - Assists in the development, implementation, and updating of clinical policies and procedures to improve the quality of nursing practice and care management. - Develop and updates modules for clinical staff. - Conducts, develops and tracks Educational In-services for ElderServe...
