DC Loader/Unloader - Rome, NY Distribution Center

Runnings has a career opportunity for a Distribution Center Loader in our Rome, NY location. This position will report directly to the Distribution Center Shipper Lead and Supervisor. The Distribution Center Loaders are responsible for efficiently loading and unloading products into and from dry van trailers including flatbeds. Prior forklift experience or ability to operate a forklift in a safe and efficient manner is required. Pay Range: $17 to $20 per hour ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Loading & unloading of trailers, including flatbeds - Maintain proper trailer weight distribution while maximizing trailer cubes/space - Perform piece counts to verify accuracy - Scan merchandise into inventory using scanning equipment. - Scan product and pallets to truck Id’s in an accurate manner. - Print price tags and price merchandise accordingly. - Break down merchandise into smaller quantities for shipping to retail locations. - Assist with floor loaded shipments, both inbound and outbound. - Responsible for accurate allocation of quantities. - Submit packing slips and freight bills as necessary. - Cross check quantities to packing slip, making necessary notations when needed....
