Position Title : Technician – Unit Support Department : Other Adult Mixed Acuity Unit Location : North Hospital: Shift : Part-Time – Day: Position Overview: The Technician-Unit Support plays a crucial role in providing both direct patient care and clerical support within the Adult Mixed Acuity Unit. Under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse, the technician assists with patient care activities, maintains a clean and safe environment, and supports unit operations. This role also involves providing information and assistance to physicians, patients, families, staff, and vendors to ensure smooth unit functioning. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with direct patient care activities as directed by the Clinical Nurse. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff. - Provide information, directions, and support to physicians, patients, families, vendors, and visitors. - Schedule tests and procedures for patients, and support patient flow. - Maintain accurate patient records, sign patients in and out of the unit, and document activities. - Order, receive, and deliver equipment and supplies needed for patient care. - May provide continuous patient observation, incl...
