Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative, and detailed individual for our Purchasing Intern position. As a Purchasing Intern, a typical day might include the following: Assist the purchasing team with the procurement of components, materials, supplies and equipment for factory operation, consistent with quality and delivery expectations. Assist in the management of open purchase orders, including regular professional communication with SEL’s suppliers. Provide support for the assurance of on time delivery of procured material by assisting in the management of purchase order confirmations, expedites and past due purchase orders. Assist the purchasing team with department objectives and projects. Provide support for the issue and review of quotes and bids.
