Job description

Supervises the activities of the Pre-Trial Release Unit to provide services to pretrial defendants under departmental supervision to include risk assessment, court updates, and coordination between treatment providers and collaborative team members. Management Scope: Supervises approximately fifteen (15) non-exempt staff members. Serves generally 1000 defendants each year under supervision and approximately 150 defendants daily during intake process. 1. Supervises Pre-Trial Release Officers, by planning, organizing, staffing, training, leading and controlling all activities to ensure effective quality service delivery, supervision and direction and that the health, safety and equipment needs of staff and defendants are met. 2. Oversees the assignment of cases by maintaining an equitable caseload/workload balance, determining, scheduling and prioritizing assignments and conducting administrative hearings to ensure that high standards of rehabilitative serves are provided; audits case files and provides training based on findings. 3.
