Job description

JOB SUMMARY: Performs manual/physical labor while assisting trades workers on construction sites including but not limited to: preparing and cleaning job sites, loading, unloading and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Act as journeyman tradesmen - Perform both heavy and general labor - Skilled and experiences in any or all of the following: - Pipe laying sewer, water and storm drain, - Concrete forming, hand mixing, pouring and stripping - Hand digging with shovels and power tools - Spreading, grading and compacting base rock and asphalt - Utilizing compaction equipment and tools - Demolition and minor carpentry - Grade checking and layout - Cutting, chipping, burning with torch, soldering, drilling, coring - Load and unload materials and supplies - Handle deliveries and pick-ups - Assist trades workers - Keeping jobsite and surrounding areas clean and organized - Assist with cutting and fitting construction materials under the direction of supervisor - Operating small power tools such as power drills, saws, core driller, and hammer drill. - Service, clean and maintain equipment and tools in good repair.
