POSITION SUMMARY: The Student Coordinator supports the Republic Services Technical Institute, a diesel technician training program. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating and providing student services for our training programs at the Dallas, Texas training facility. These services include ensuring the Tech Institute adheres to federal apprenticeship programs, such as Department of Labor and Veterans Affairs, and assisting employees with navigating the benefits of these programs and the apprenticeship requirements. In addition, the Student Coordinator supports training facilitation, event planning and scheduling, and act as a liaison during the hiring process for new and prospective trainees. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates with all new students to provide guidance with apprenticeship requirements and benefits. Ensures the Tech Institute adheres to Department of Labor (DOL) apprenticeship program requirements, including reporting on apprenticeship instruction and On The Job (OTJ) hours and completing DOL audits.
