Department: Academic Advising Job Summary: Job Description: This position’s primary role is to provide academic advising to an assigned caseload of students. The advisor will foster student success by: advising and monitoring students in regard to curriculum requirements, academic rules, policies, and procedures, and progress toward degree completion; assisting students with their academic plans and their personal, educational, and career goal development; and acting as advocate and resource mentor. Teach two sections of a First Year Seminar course per academic year and/or collaborate, design and implement curricula and strategies as they relate to a First Year Seminar Course.
