Job description
The Design Systems Engineer-SRT acts as the primary interface between the Chief Engineer group and Product Release Center. Primarily responsible for managing System, interfaces and interactions between components / subsystems of the gear reducer and driveline system. - Gear Reducer and /or Driveline hardware system responsible (integration and system balancing of all gear reducer and driveline components) - Interfacing with individual COEs - Manufacturing - Suppliers - Development Validation Center - Schedules hardware system design reviews across PRC and reviews DRE design proposals as required - Organize reviews with Virtual Analysis / CAE team and ensures Virtual DVP / Scorecard is completed prior to any prototype hardware orders - Manage Transmission and/or Driveline System and Interface DFMEA / DRBFM (team) reviews to ensure complete transparency and development of cohesive Design Controls leading to Robust DVP Actions - Manages Assembly (BOM) Part# Complexity Charts including all Transmission, Gear Reducer and/or Driveline Systems with a clear definition of each assembly part# - Manage BRT (Build Readiness Team) for prototype orders; Confirms proto hardware orders and procure...
