The Orthopedic Technician will provide support through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Maintains all applicable KHI Policies and Procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Escorts patient to exam room and prepares patient for exam including vital signs, history, and reason for seeking care - Cross trains in data entry, balancing of accounts, charges fees and collect payments due. - Schedules/confirms appointments - Maintains and facilitates communication between patients, family and clinical staff. - Reports as necessary to Public Health at direction of provider - Maintains work area including exam rooms, supplies, medication and immunizations - Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens - Performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived t...
