Job description

Job Title: Supervisor, Accounting Job Summary: Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, managing department members, ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported, work with plant management through reporting and ah hoc requests and assist Accounting Manager on any required tasks. Responsibility: - Assist the month-end and year-end process including reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries and ensuring deadlines are met. - Assist with the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process and providing financial analysis to support decision-making. - Prepare and analyze financial reports and present financial information to managers. - Assist in physical inventory and capital asset reconciliations. - Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including assigning tasks, providing training and conducting performance evaluations. - Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. - Participate in audits and prepare requested documentation for auditors. - Assist in the implementation of goals and objectives and suggest improvements to accounting processes.
