Designer/Intern Architect

Job description

Stantec is seeking a Designer with 0-3 years’ experience to join its Architecture Group in Rochester, NY. A Designer is expected to be on a professional path towards licensure as an Architect and to contribute to the coordinated delivery of design services with a fully integrated team of architects, engineers, designers, planners, technicians and scientists. Your Key Responsibilities: - Interpret sketches, drawings, codes, building programs and other similar materials. - Utilize Revit in development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components. - Provide early phase design visualization support. - Assist in the preparation of construction documentation for architectural projects including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections and details. - Demonstrate general knowledge of building codes, energy codes, and requirements of regulatory agencies. - Assist in the coordination of building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) and associated documentation including clash detection within the BIM model. - Assist with the preparation of reports and assessments, including site assessment, photography, technical writing, and document organization. - Coord...
