Head Swim Coach (Seasonal)

Job description

The Head Coach for The Plateau Club Penguins is responsible for creating a supportive team environment for to all members of the Penguins Team. Must have a passion for swimming, teaching and being a positive role model for swimmers. The Head Coach is responsible for but not limited to lifeguarding during practices, getting in the water to provide assistance during drills, teaching swim lessons, writing swim team workouts, and attending all swim meets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide and write quality team workouts. - Coach IN and OUT of the water as needed to assist swimmers in improving their skills. - Complete swim meet line-ups and entries for swim meets. - Attend ALL swim meets and swim team social events. - Communicate with the members of the Penguins Team through the weekly newsletter any updates and timely respond to any email communications from parents. - Teach and schedule private and semi-private swim lessons as requested by members and/or assigned by the Recreation Center Manager - Act as a lifeguard during practices. - Ensure safety and constant supervision of all swim team participations for the duration of swim practices and swim meets. - In cooperat...
