Overview Joby Aviation is seeking a passionate Manufacturing Engineer to join our Electronics Manufacturing Engineering team in San Carlos, CA. The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on equipment engineering, process engineering, and scaling products from prototype to mass production. This role’s scope is the Joby aircraft’s low and high-voltage electronics assemblies. The ideal candidate is highly organized and self-driven with a deep understanding of mechanical design, manufacturability, and process control. Responsibilities: - Create manufacturing processes, assembly fixturing, tooling, and automated equipment to succeed at both prototype and production builds - Create entire production lines’ layouts, workstations, detailed manufacturing work instructions optimized for safety, quality, and efficiency - Lead process development efforts using statistical methods such as process capability characterization, gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R), and design of experiments (DoE) - Assure products and processes adhere to quality and compliance...
