Job description

Starting Wage Range: $36.01/hr. - $46.31/hr. Job Summary: Plans, coordinates, organizes, directs, and monitors the work of the construction crew. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of small and heavy equipment used in site development, utility work, road construction, road maintenance and other construction or maintenance operations. Supervisory: - Safely and efficiently operates a variety of heavy equipment such as backhoe, bulldozer, excavator, front-end loader, dump truck, log truck, log loader, and other heavy equipment used in excavation, underground utility work and site development projects. - Communicates project status and needs with supervisor. - Performs work according to plans, specifications, methods and procedures either in writing or verbally from project leader or supervisor, for each phase of construction for a given project. Responsible for the quality of work in accordance with the standards specified in design documents. - Identifies and communicates project needs before they reach critical thresholds.
