The Regulatory and Landscape Mapping team locates nature in NSW so the people of the state can value it. As Senior Team Leader Regulatory and Landscape Mapping you would lead the delivery of critical NSW biodiversity and native vegetation regulatory mapping programs that support informed environmental decision-making across the state. The role also leads the development of spatial assessment of proposed policy changes and current and future land use change. In this pivotal leadership role, you will design and deliver high-quality, cost-effective scientific projects aligned with the DCCEEW Strategic Plan, while driving innovation in landscape mapping for both internal and external stakeholders. You will provide expert scientific advice, oversee efficient project and case management systems, while being responsive to often urgent requests for complex spatial insights pitched to non-technical audiences.
