Postdoctoral Associate Required Qualifications: (as evidenced by an attached resume) PhD degree (or foreign equivalent) in Biomedical Sciences or a closely related field. Strong competence in Molecular Biology (PCR, cloning, and site-directed mutagenesis, RT-PCR), Immunoprecipitation and Western Blotting. Must be highly proficient in scientific writing. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with mammalian cell culture. Experience with expression (E. coli, yeast, and mammalian cells) and purification of proteins. Experience with Drosophila Genetics, Dissection, Immunostaining and Confocal Microscopy. Brief Description of Duties: The Misra laboratory at Stony Brook University is looking for a Postdoctoral Associate to join our starting group. Our NIH/funded research is centered on growth regulation by Hippo signaling during Drosophila development as well as cancer. We use Drosophila developmental genetics, cell biology and biochemistry to address these questions. Substantial training will be provided for techniques.
