What Will You Do?: Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… - Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. - Perform MIG welding on a daily basis, TIG welding occasionally. - Setup, run, and modify robotic weld programs. - Operate robot welder on a multitude of parts. - Review blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications to determine appropriate materials, tools, and procedures needed to complete processes. - Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, tape measures, and rulers. - Weld separately or in combination, using steel, aluminum and stainless steel. - Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. - Install holes, slots, and notches as required. - Pe...
