Description The Department of Political Science and International Relations at Knox College invites applications for a visiting assistant professor of international relations for our 2021 Winter and Spring terms (two 10-week terms running from early January to the end of May). Knox is an independent, selective liberal arts institution with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to teaching and learning for a diverse student body in which more than 30 percent are first-generation college students, 40 percent are domestic students of color, and 19 percent international students. The successful candidate will teach an advanced international relations theory seminar and additional courses in areas such as, but not limited to, foreign policy, diplomacy, security studies, peace and conflict studies, international political economy, international law and policy, international development. Candidates who can teach courses in areas of the world currently underrepresented in the Knox curriculum, such as Africa, South, Southeast, and East Asia, are especially encouraged to apply.
