Job Overview The multi-disciplinary Associate Electrical Engineer will be a key team member in various aspects of product design, applications engineering, and product development within the Design Engineering group for Instrument Transformers at Meramec. Our primary customers are OEM manufacturers of MV and HV switchgear, circuit breakers and transformers used in the North American utility (T&D) industry. A Day In The Life: What will help you thrive in this role? - The primary product focus is Instrument Transformers for the Medium Voltage and High Voltage Utility Market. - Instrument Transformer design - Review of customer specifications and requirements to evaluate design requirements - New product ideation and development. - Active involvement in IEEE/IEC/CIGRE Technical Committees - Design engineering and process improvement projects - Initiating and managing engineering changes - Performing or overseeing mechanical, environmental, and electrical simulation - Providing technical assistance to Applications, Process, and Quality Engineering - Travel requirements involving off-site testing of products, marketing support, field review of product applications or training activities...
