Team Manager, Data Engineering

Some of what you will do: The Staples technology team is seeking a talented and energetic Team Manager to lead our Data Engineering team. We want an individual who will challenge the norm, strive to create the best experience’s and someone who always puts the customer first. You will have a passion for Data Engineering, Data architecture and a willingness to share learnings within your development team. Specifically, You Will: Manage and Develop Associates (40%) - Developing and mentor associates through proper task delegation and active observation and interaction. - Evaluates performance of the assigned associates via the performance review process. - Recruit new hires for the team resulting from expansion and/or to backfill due to attrition (voluntary and involuntary) within applications group - With guidance from the Director and HR, address and manage associate performance concerns if required - With guidance from the Director, manage 3rd party vendors in the support and development of the applications within the assigned Area.
