Regions Hospital Microbiology Laboratory is currently seeking a self-motivated, quality-focused Medical Lab Scientist to join our team. As a Medical Lab Scientist at Regions Hospital, you will join an innovative and collaborative group of professionals in our newly remodeled laboratory designed for ergonomics and workflow. Our team has also been engaged in developing our new laboratory information system designed to provide efficiency and patient safety. Your work will support Regions Hospital as well as six other suburban hospitals and over twenty clinics in our network. As part of our team, you will perform specimen receiving, culture setup, culture reading for various specimen sources and perform susceptibility and molecular testing and share responsibility for quality assurance for the department. This position is in our Regions Hospital microbiology lab. Our lab supports microbiology testing for the HealthPartners System. This position would be set-up and processing specimens for cultures and molecular testing, reading cultures, using Maldi, BD Kiestra Automation Line, BD Phoenix, and manual susceptibility testing.
