Engineer, Component Maintenance Optimization - Plant Vogtle 3&4 Job Summary: Component Engineers direct implementation of assigned programs and work processes. Major Programs include breakers, large pumps and motors, air or motor operated valves, I&C subcomponents, HVAC/chillers, heat exchangers, breakers as well as condition-based maintenance technologies such as vibration, thermography, motor monitoring, and oil analysis. Engineering tasks will include direct or indirect interface with the corrective action process and work scheduling, Component Engineers will be responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, ensuring regulatory compliance, have knowledge and application of industry best practices, budgets, and for the performance or oversight of inspections of plant equipment. Component Engineers typically look for long-term performance improvements and work on key refueling outage assignments. Engineering responsibilities will also include on-call Duty rotations and Emergency Plan response requirements.
