Job description

This is a junior-level position at the Prototyping, Manufacturing & Integration Division located in Huntsville, AL. The individual selected for this position will work with our other on site LAN Manager and overall as part of a team of technical support staff across the country and will run and maintain all aspects of the LAN operating environment. What you’ll do as a Junior Desktop Support Administrator: - Provide desktop support and technical assistance to end users on a variety of issues. - Utilize and respond to submitted tickets in a ticketing system - Assist with supporting a small Windows server environment. - Independently identify, research, and resolve technical problems. - Troubleshoot PC hardware and software issues. - Set up and maintain user accounts. - Maintain file, print, and license servers. - Administer and monitor data backups. - Monitor and apply security patches and updates in a timely manner. - Document and maintain IT related procedures. - Help maintain inventory and licensing records for hardware and software acquisitions. - Assists with special projects and assignments as needed.
