CAD Technician - Utility

Job description

The CAD Technician is part of a civil engineering design team involved in a variety public infrastructure and transportation improvement projects (i.e., streets, drainage, water, sanitary sewer, etc.). The position is a lead technical support role in our Fort Worth Headquarters. Responsibilities/Expectations: Responsibilities require being actively engaged in plan production and design of projects. More specifically, responsibilities include: - Using established CAD standards to prepare electronic drawings from minimum marked-up plans and/or verbal instruction by engineers/designers - Oversight of CAD systems management, refinement and evolution of standards - Organizing and scheduling your own work, and at times, the work of other team members to accomplish project goals within established budgets and schedules - Coordination with engineers and other design team members - Plotting and assembling construction plans Requirements: At a minimum, candidates must meet the following educational and professional requirements: Education/Certification - High School graduate or GED required - Post-high school technical coursework, certification or degree in computer drafting/design or relate...
