Position Title: Nurse Practitioner Time Type: Part time Position Summary and Qualifications: The Nurse Practitioner, with at least 3-5 years experience in an acute care setting, will provide comprehensive care to the students through physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, order diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications. The NP emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education. This is a non-exempt, part-time, 9 month position (mid August - mid May). Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to) Perform comprehensive physical examinations, obtain medical histories, and develop treatment plans. Order, perform, and interpret lab results. Manage acute and chronic conditions. Prescribe medications and treatments in compliance with PA state laws. Perform minor procedures such as I&Ds and suturing lacerations. Educate students on disease prevention and their health issues/needs.
