Description The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with interest and experience in patient and family centered mental health care to work in outpatient clinical settings to provide assessment and treatment to children and teens and consultation to clinicians within our clinical services and in the community. Potential for special focus on working in school-based settings and with school professionals. This faculty position is head-quartered in the Department of Psychiatry’s Child and Adolescent Division and will have both clinical and educational responsibilities, with opportunities for research and scholarship in the faculty member’s area of expertise. The position may also include supervision of post-doctoral fellows and psychology interns, depending on availability of interested trainees. The Child Division draws inspiration from Frederick Douglass, noted Rochester social reformer, who said, "It’s easier to build strong children than to fix broken men."
