Description The College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking distinguished applicants to fill the open Experiential Education Regional Faculty position for the Dallas Fort Worth Region. Time commitment is an average of 4 hours per week. Experiential Education is a required component of the professional doctorate of pharmacy (Pharm.D.) curriculum and provides students with experiences in pharmacy settings under the guidance of practicing pharmacists called preceptors. The experiences increase in complexity over the four years of the doctor of pharmacy program culminating with the advanced pharmacy practice experiences (APPE) occurring in the fourth and final year of the curriculum. More information is on the College of Pharmacy's Experiential Programs is available online. The Regional Faculty report to the Region Director and Assistant Dean for Experiential Education.
