Description:Job Brief:Walker Engineering is CURRENTLY HIRING qualified Journeyman Electricians (J1-J3) in it's Houston division.Description: Walker is hiring qualified licensed journeyman. Journeyman are eligible for a $1,000 signing bonus. Candidates must hold an active TDLR standard journeyman or master's license to qualify for the signing bonus. A Journeyman works under the guidance of a Foreman or Superintendent in installations, alterations, additions, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment on any type project. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - A Journeyman may be required to perform any of the duties and responsibilities associated with classifications E4 or A4. In addition, a first level Journeyman: - Lays out work and preps materials for installation. - Performs underground layout and rough-in. - Determines wire and conduit sizing. - Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and hand or mechanical benders. - Installs BUSS feeders. - Performs switchgear installation and terminations. - Installs and connects power supply wiring, cables, conduit,...
