What’s the role?: The Senior Solution Designer – Core Banking is responsible for the end-to-end design of technology solutions within the Core Banking domain. This is a senior leadership role that requires deep expertise across both mature mainframe platforms and modern distributed technologies (REST APIs, microservices, micro-frontends, Java), with the ability to lead solution design across the full technology stack. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, subject matter experts, developers, and other technology teams to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution — ensuring scalable, secure, and performant outcomes that support Westpac's technology strategy and modernisation agenda.
