Scope of the Job Under the direction of the Procurement Category Manager, the Buyer must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to ensure that assigned suppliers exceed S&W standards for quality, delivery and price. The buyer will maintain purchase orders and delivery schedule on the company ERP system. The job requires daily interaction with suppliers assigned to specific commodity groups to resolve any issue affecting S&W supply chain efficiency and reliability. Buyers will quote parts and services, analyze quotes and make recommendation to award business. The buyer will take action with suppliers to maintain appropriate levels of safety stock, minimize order quantities and ensure quoted lead times are adhered to.
