Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Job Summary: Assist the Emergency Department Physicians or Residents and Orthopedic Physicians or Residents. Duties include, but not limited to, splinting, casting, assisting with minor procedures, wound care, applying fabricated devices, immobilization devices, traction, and overhead frames. Attends all Traumas in the Emergency Department. Works with Supply Distribution and Sterile Processing to provide nursing staff with supplies and sterile equipment daily. Applies and maintains orthopedic devices as ordered by physicians throughout the hospital. Monitors and maintains all orthopedic equipment and supplies. Performs simple, non-sterile dressing’s changes on wounds greater than 48 hours old. Assists orthopedic surgeons with procedures as the first and second assistant or scrub technician.
