Description The Department of Public Administration and Policy (DPAP) in the School of Public Affairs (SPA) at American University invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track positions at the rank of Full, Associate, or Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2024. Depending on qualifications, the appointee to this position may be recommended for tenure at the time of hiring. Applicants should have a PhD or an anticipated PhD completion by August 2024 in public administration, political science, or a related field. Teaching responsibilities will include core and elective courses in the School’s highly ranked Master of Public Administration, Master of Public Policy, and PhD degree programs. Possible courses include Introduction to Public Administration and the Policy Process, Organizational Analysis, Leadership, Public-Private Partnerships, Legal Basis for Public Administration, Project Management, Policy Process, Policy Implementation and others.
