*$5,000.00 Sign-on Bonus* Schedule: Monday-Friday 1200-2030 with rotating Saturdays, holidays, on-call and other shifts as needed Location: Woodward: Salary/Hourly: Hourly Position: Job Summary: Perform a variety of histology laboratory functions, which include processing of specimens, embedding, microtomy, H&E staining and slide distribution. Produce quality tissue processing and histologic specimens to the expectations of pathologists and clients. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: 1. Perform histology laboratory procedures with a high degree of proficiency and efficiency. Meet departmental productivity standards. 2. Operate laboratory equipment, interfaces and instruments, perform and document basic and advanced maintenance and complex calibration procedures. Serve as Key Operator for assigned instrument(s) as needed or directed. 3. Perform routine logging for Quality Control (QC)/Quality Assurance (QA) purposes. Collect and compile QA data as directed. Monitor QC for trends and take corrective action as needed or directed. Participate in QC/QA tracking. 4. Follow through on problems; develop appropriate solutions using defined guidelines. 5.
