Description JOB SUMMARY: Provides substance use and mental health assessment services as assigned. Primarily responsible for assessing and collaborating with Chief Behavioral Health Officer as to diagnosis and appropriate recommendations/referrals for admitting and current clients. Provides counseling & assessment services under mental health and substance use disorder licensure. Assures adherence to state statutes and rules, CARF standards, and federal regulations including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Positively represents the organization and promotes Rimrock’s Mission to the community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Therapeutic Service Responsibilities: - Conduct integrated assessment for all new Inpatient and Residential clients to help determine acuity of mental health and appropriateness of subsequent referrals to services. - Triage inpatient and residential clients for referral to psychiatric and mental health departments - Conduct inpatient and outpatient assessments as assigned - Meet with new clients on the medical unit to advise them of MH services to support and augment treatment services.;. - Provide basic coping and stress-management services to clients during their early treatmen...
