Internal Job Title: Senior Accountant Onsite, Home Office Location Options: Galveston, TX; League City, TX; or Houston, TX (local focus; with no anticipated travel requirements) Who You Will Report To: Director, General Accounting & Financial Reporting We are looking for a General Senior Accountant to help strengthen a growing, centralized accounting department. This individual contributor role will own key close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations and help establish clear processes and documentation to improve accuracy and timeliness. What you will do: - Prepare and process full-cycle journal entries with strong supporting documentation and attention to controls - Perform and maintain timely, accurate balance sheet account reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances - Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and deadlines - Support internal and external reporting deliverables and related reporting packages (as applicable) - Help establish, document, and continuously improve accounting processes and procedures - Work independently with limited oversight—taking direction and driving work through completion with a focus on accu...
