Staff Accountant

Job description

- Assist Accounting Manager and Director of Finance with Financial statement preparation - Prepare reports to assist the Controller with the budget - Report and analyze budget variance - Prepare monthly bank account reconciliation reports - Assist management with UDS and Medicaid/Medicare Cost Reports - Identify control issues and recommend corrective actions - Reconcile daily cash transactions - Prepare and review closing entries - Prepare analysis of aging accounts receivable - Ensure accrual entries are revered - Maintain various spreadsheets for fixed assets, grants, and accruals - Assists finance team with monthly closings - Perform accounts payable/receivable, billing and purchasing duties as needed
