Westland Outpatient Pharmacy - Casual/PRN position About the Department: We are located in the lobby of the main entrance. Directly to the left once you enter the main doors. We offer the following services: outpatient pharmacy services patient counseling, curbside delivery upon request, over the counter items, and special order medication upon request. Scope of Work Under the direction and supervision of a Pharmacist, performs a variety of functions related to preparation, storage, distribution and dispensing of prescriptions. Within the Hospital, rotation through IV admixture and unit dose service is routine. Performs data entry and other record keeping functions as determined to be necessary to the operations of the department. 1. Fills medication orders including oral, injectable and topical medications and intravenous admixtures. 2. Enters patient demographics, insurance information and prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, prioritizing scripts for customers waiting. Appropriately handles and reprocesses rejected claims. 3. Processes prescriptions, retrieves correct medication, fills and labels prescription and attaches any necessary notifications. 4.
