Tenure-Track Faculty Position Department of Mathematics College of Science & Mathematics Rowan University The Department of Mathematics at Rowan University is seeking to hire a 10-month Tenure-Track Faculty Position with an appointment to begin on September 1st, 2026. The Department of Mathematics is specifically interested in candidates who will develop a research program in the mathematical foundations of artificial intelligence and data science, including areas such as probability, linear algebra, optimization, statistical learning theory, the mathematics of quantum computing, mathematical modeling of algorithms, and theoretical aspects of AI and machine learning. However, outstanding candidates with research programs outside of these areas may also be considered. A Ph.D. or equivalent in Data Science, Mathematics Statistics, or a closely related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record and/or potential to establish and sustain a strong research program. We anticipate hiring at the Assistant Professor level, but outstanding candidates may be considered at the Associate or Full Professor levels. The successful candidates are expected to develo...
