Organisation: Leicestershire County Council Work Location: Croft Depot, Arbor Road, LE9 3GE and Mountsorrel, LE12 7AH Salary: £26,832 - £28,146 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) plus hourly enhancement Market Premia Working Hours: 37 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent: Closing Date: Sunday 17th May 2026 Interview Date(s): In person - Date to be confirmed About the Role: A seasonally based best value, customer-focused service throughout Leicestershire and occasionally, surrounding counties. You will maintain the condition of the road network through the application of surface dressing material over the summer period, and, during winter months, provide precautionary night salting treatments to ensure safe passage along the highway. Activities include Surface Dressing, Winter Service Gritting, Snow Clearance, Flood Prevention Stock Preparation and other LGV driving. The nature of the work may involve you carrying out activities outside of normal working hours, including nights, weekends and public holidays, in all weather conditions to meet the needs of the service.
