Maintenance Technician

Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the campus is presentable and well-functioning by performing repairs to facilities as assigned. This includes, but is not limited to, tasks involving carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and painting. Duties & Responsibilities: Perform routine upkeep and maintenance of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment within the assigned unit Order supplies and parts as needed Complete weekly and monthly preventative maintenance checklists Perform janitorial duties as needed: Respond to emergency maintenance requests: Assist with renovations and remodeling: Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths: Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum of one-year experience in facilities maintenance and janitorial work Special Skills: Basic background in plumbing, painting and/or electrical work Experience in operating maintenance equipment, including hand and power tools, test equipment and pressure washer preferred.
