It's more than a career, it's a calling WI-SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - Madison Worker Type: Regular Job Highlights: This is a part time day shift Phlebotomist position for St. Mary's Hospital in Madison working varying day shifts for a total of 20 hours per week. The schedule also includes a weekend rotation. Shifts: The schedule will be a combination of day shift hours (3:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., 3:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 4:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Hours: 20 per week, part time Job Summary: Under specific direction, collects and prepares blood specimens and other samples for laboratory testing. Maintains collection areas and equipment and performs record keeping duties. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Collects blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary technique and processes the samples according to laboratory guidelines. - Delivers samples to the laboratory in established time frames. - May perform waived testing. - May perform a variety of administrative duties to support the department. - Identifies patients using two identifiers. - Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. - P...
