Job DetailsJob Location: Allan Cott School - Birmingham, AL 35242Position Type: SeasonalGlenwood has an excellent opportunity to become a part of our staff as a Lifeguard. The Lifeguard will provide supervision, planning and delivery of activities to all of Glenwood’s waterfront areas that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the individuals' and staff's abilities. Shift: Monday- Friday 10 am-3 pm (May- Aug) PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS: Waterfront areas include Glenwood (canoe/tubing) and the pool Maintain all waterfront equipment Assist in the implementation of staff training on waterfront safety and responsibilities Evaluate aquatic abilities of individuals and staff Survey the waterfront daily and keep the areas free of hazards and debris Participate enthusiastically in all program areas serving as a positive role model and mentor through your attitude and behavior Create a fun and rewarding environment by maintaining the well-being and safety of the individuals and staff KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Outgoing, enthusiastic, and personable as to create an engaging atmosphere Strong communication and time management skills Must have the ability to observe individuals and staff behavio...
