The Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator manages and coordinates all aspects of the complex bone marrow and stem cell transplant process, with a primary focus on ensuring the program adheres to the rigorous standards set by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT). This role typically requires a nursing or allied health background and involves patient care, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and education. - Manages the clinical, psychosocial, and financial aspects of care for transplant patients. This includes conducting pre-treatment interviews, coordinating pre-transplant evaluations, facilitating donor searches, and managing post-transplant follow-up. 17% - Ensures that all program activities and documentation meet the standards of regulatory bodies like FACT, the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), and the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR).
