Diesel Mechanic

Description The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the company’s fleet of diesel trucks and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role reports directly to the Shop Manager and works closely with shop leadership to support fleet readiness, minimize downtime, and meet operational demands. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience and demonstrate strong troubleshooting, safety, and communication skills. Requirements: Key Responsibilities: - Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on diesel engines, heavy-duty trucks, and related equipment. - Inspect mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air brake systems to identify issues and determine corrective actions. - Perform routine services including oil changes, brake repairs, engine diagnostics, suspension work, and DOT-related inspections as assigned. - Communicate repair status, parts needs, and equipment readiness clearly to the Shop Manager. - Accurately document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities using company maintenance systems. - Assist with maintaining an organized, safe, and efficie...
