Overview A Natural Gas Mechanic is responsible for performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on natural gas engines and compressors on both offshore and land facilities. This role requires the ability to troubleshoot and service various equipment, ensuring optimal performance while maintaining safety standards. Responsibilities: - Work on a 24/7 call-out schedule, with flexibility for overtime and holidays as needed. - Perform maintenance and repairs on natural gas engines and compressors, including Waukesha, Caterpillar, Cooper slow speed, turbines, Ariel, and Ajax packages. - Service and maintain Quincy, Ingersoll Rand, and White Superior compressors. - Troubleshoot and complete field repairs on compressors and natural gas engines as needed. - Possess a strong understanding of engine systems and engine controls. - Perform in-frame overhauls and complete rebuilds when required. - Conduct diesel engine or pump repairs, as applicable. - Read and interpret drawings and technical manuals. - Perform visual inspections of pumps and motors to detect abnormal conditions prior to start commissioning tests. - Handle decoupling and reinstallation of pumps, and correct piping alignment wi...
