Overview Position Purpose: The Purchasing Agent must believe in, practice and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be H onest, O bjective, M ature and E fficient in how he or she approaches their role at Green Brick Partners. This position involves managing cost categories, negotiating contracts, managing the bid process with Preferred Partners, demonstrating knowledge of building industry and SOPs. This position should provide support to Construction, vendors and other departments as needed. Responsibilities: - Responsible for reviewing and understanding plans and specifications of Trophy Signature Homes. - Must be able to request, retrieve, review and implement bids/pricing from vendors. - Analyze bid proposals to ensure they are complete and comparable. Negotiate contracts to ensure the best pricing and performance. Present findings to Purchasing management for final approval. - Work with purchasing teams to understand plan lineups and plan/product offerings in each community. - Responsible for the accuracy of hard costs/invoices and revisions for assigned categories. - Track & record trade partner contract documentation.
